DIY Laptop Stand

This Monday marked the first day of my return to work after mat leave.

I’m returning after 17 months, and while a lot has changed globally when I was off for the past little bit, the one thing that I knew would remain constant is how much I’ll be using my laptop for my job. So I decided to do a quick last minute lunchtime naptime DIY for the office with some scrap wood in the garage.

It’s only been two days of being back to work but I can tell this DIY (laptop stand) will be used quite a bit since I love how much more ergonomic it is to be using the laptop now! Check out the video below and stay tuned for my full office reveal next week!

Materials:
– plywood base to rest laptop on, cut at 11″ X 16″
– 2 legs which I made out of 1″ x 2″s cut at 4″ length at 20° angle
– trim to hold the laptop up on the base was an existing piece of 7/16″x 11/16″ which I cut to 16″ length
– 2 corner braces, size 1 1/2″
wood glue
clamps
– chalk spray paint (I used Behr Classic Noir)
Minwax Polycrylic, I haven’t done this yet, but after using it for a few days and seeing how much usage it’ll be getting, I’ve decided to do it sometime this week (fingers crossed, sooner than later!)
